4 Days Murchison falls National park
This 4 days Murchison falls national park will take you to the Uganda’s largest and oldest national park for a lot of activities like game drive, chimpanzee trekking, boat cruise and top of the falls with ziwa rhinos. Murchison falls national parks is the only park in Uganda where you can have a chance to see all the big five of Africa. The park consists of woodlands, riverine forest and savannah grasslands. The park is a home of different animals’ species and birds. The falls are the main attraction In Murchison falls national park and is formed when the Nile passes through a narrow gorge before forming several rapids leading to a final thunderous fall. After the river continue flowing calmly to lake albert which is known as the one of the east Africa’s greatest wildlife species. In the park expect to see animals like elephants, buffaloes, topis, warthogs, hyenas, lions, leopards, and so many others with different bird species.
Day 1: transfer from Entebbe to ziwa rhino, Murchison falls
Day 2: game drive and boat cruise
Day 3: full day game drive and budongo chimpanzee trekking.
Day 4: top of the falls and transfer back to Entebbe.
Detailed activities in Murchison falls national park
day 1: transfer from Entebbe to ziwa rhino, Murchison falls. Have your early morning breakfast and set off for your trip to Murchison falls national park. On your way, you will have a stopover at ziwa rhino for the first interested activity of trekking rhinos which is the first of the big five we have in Uganda. After trekking, you will drive to Masindi town for lunch and then proceed to Murchison falls national park. On the arrive at the park, you will check in and continue to the lodge where you will have your dinner and night.
Day 2: game drive and boat cruise. you will have your early morning breakfast and set off for a morning game drive where you will be able to see different wildlife species like lions, leopard, hyenas, elephants, buffaloes and so many others as it will be morning and animals are always active during morning hours so it will be of high chances of seeing big 4 of the big 5 of Africa. After your drive, you will return back to the lodge for lunch and refreshment as also setting off for boat cruise activity on the river Nile heading to the bottom of the falls.
Day 3: full day game drive and budongo chimpanzee trekking. Have your morning breakfast and set off for the morning game drive heading to budongo forest for chimpanzee trekking. You will get your briefing about chimpanzee trekking in budongo forest in Murchison falls during the trekking, you also have a chance to see different other primates like black and white colobus monkeys, patus monkeys, varvet monkeys, olive baboon and so many other wild animals in the jungle. After finding the chimpanzees, you will spend an hour with them, then set off for game drive too as driving back to the lodge for refreshment and night stay as also preparing for the next day activities.
Day 4: top of the falls and transfer back to Entebbe. Have your morning game drive and check out of the lodge as you set off for journey back to Entebbe but you will first drive to the top of the falls to enjoy the view of water as the waters farcing its self in a narrow gorge of about 6-7m to the depth of 43m deep then flow towards lake albert.
